About us 

After many years of holidaying in this area, staying in my parents holiday home, we finally moved here in 1996. We havn't looked 

back since. After a number of years renovating stone barns into family gites, learning how to look after our guests and drinking many glasses of wine with them, as well as bringing up our own children here, we now feel very confident in our ability to offer just what families really need from a holiday here in France. 

Wendy 

Wendy runs the business side of things - updating the web site, taking bookings and generally dealing with all the French bureaucracy ! I am also a registered child minder in France  so you can rest assured that you also have a capable babysitter on hand so you can enjoy a night out. I also a volunteer for the Red Cross and am trained as a team first aider, so I've been helping out at the covid vaccine centres since qualifying. In the winter I also help Chris with our ongoing renovation projects.

Over the years we have developed the wine theme to our guests 

stay with wine discovery events and vineyard walks. This sets us apart from everyone else. Chris worked all his 

adult life in the wine industry, selling, buying and teaching wine, its  also a passionate hobby.   Chris concentrates on improving and expanding our business structurally, by renewing and repairing and has now finished renovating a town house in the centre of Saint Jean d'Angely

Benjamin and Thomas 


Benjamin (born March 2003) and Thomas (born August 2005) are our two boys and have grown up with playmates on site all through the summer which has made them very sociable. They are pretty much grown up now so are now taking an active roll in the business to earn some money - they run the pottery painting sessions and help with changeovers too. In the off season, Thomas is in the Netherlands studying international business and Benjamin is in France studying marine Biology
