All the family friendly rental holiday cottages at la Grange du Moulin have full access to the enclosed play garden with swings, slide, sandpit, trampoline and even a pirate ship . Of course there are also the two heated swimming pools, one which is specifically for toddlers. The heated swimming pool area is completely enclosed and has a child safety latch on the gate and is also alarmed to conform with French swimming pool safety regulations.
The Grenier holiday rental cottage sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms and has the bathroom on the same floor as the master and single bedrooms. There is one double room with king sized bed (160x200)and one single room plus wooden cot and also a spacious attic bedroom with three single beds and space for a travel cot too (provided free of charge on request)
There's a large enclosed play garden filled with toys and we hold children and toddler activities each week such as pottery and fabric painting and even scuba diving! When we say child friendly we mean we are baby, child, toddler and family friendly! Chat to likeminded parents while your children make new friends and no need to worry about disaproving looks when your toddler has a tantrum - we've all been there!

Grenier family holiday cottage sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. On the ground floor there is an open plan living dining area and
a medium sized kitchen to the front. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, 4 ring gas hob, work top electric oven/grill, microwave, fridge freezer, electric kettle and all basic crockery and cutlery for a comfortable child friendly self catering holiday. An open tread, cast iron, spiral staircase takes you to the first floor with double bedroom and single bedroom, both of which have draws and hanging space. there is a modern bathroom with bath, shower facility, toilet and basin, with loads of hot water and good pressure. The staircase continues to
the second floor - a large open attic bedroom with 3 single beds. There is a small wardrobe and 2 sets of draws. We recommend that this room is used by older children who are able to safely negotiate the spiral staircase to visit the bathroom at night, or by a child in a cot (and cannot get out) however a stair barrier is provided. A travel cot will fit in any of the bedrooms and there is also a wooden cot in the single room which can be moved to the spacious landing.
Grenier family holiday rental cottage has a patio to the rear with 2 seater wooden table and barbecue. It also has a 6 seater garden table and chairs with parasol to the front so you can relax with a chilled glass of wine whilst your children make new friends in the safely enclosed play garden.
The charcoal barbecue is at the rear with a wooden drinks table and chairs for two. This gite is next to the lane. The lane is very quiet - being used only by our guests and our neighbours, and there is a gate which should only be used occasionally
by our guests on arrival - it is left locked at other times. The family holiday cottage was originally used as a grain store. It has exposed stone walls on all 3 floors .
The thick stone walls create a cellar like effect and in the heat of the summer, the cottage is a welcome escape from the midday sun. Like Papillon it is quite a dark cottage. It has a good view of the play garden.

Our family holiday rental properties with heated swimming pools are located in the heart of the French countryside with lovely views all around. Perfect for a relaxing child friendly family holiday. Centrally located in the Charente Maritime department of SW France, we are an easy drive to hundreds of km of sandy beaches. The Charente Maritime is also easy to get to with airports in la Rochelle, Bordeaux, Nantes, Poitiers and Limoges all accessible. The nearest port to the Charente Maritime is the French port of St Malo.

There is a communal laundry room with several washing machines a tumble dryer and a rotary dryer in the garden - free of charge. Each gite has an iron and board.
All the holiday cottages at La Grange du moulin Child friendly gites have stair barriers, non slip bath mats, potty, toilet trainer seat, highchair, booster seat, change mat, toys and books as standard. Items such as a bottle steriliser , baby monitor or baby chair can also be provided as can duplicate highchairs, booster seats and travel cots for twins and triplets, on request.
