Babysitting

with a registered child minder

At La Grange du Moulin and Les Vallaies child friendly gites we have always offered a babysitting service, even before we had children of our own. Since having our own two boys we realised we could offer so much more to parents with young children and so began to develop the 'child friendly' element of our family holiday cottages. In 2007 Wendy became a registered child minder in France. This involved 120 hours of training including a first aid course, a police check on both Chris and I , a written examination and a home inspection by social services. Once certified I was able to offer a child minding service where I may look after children in my own home. However due to recent changes in the law we are unable to offer this service anymore to non French nationals.

Our babysitting service is available to all our guests. On request (and subject to availability) Wendy will come to your holiday cottage to look after your children whilst you go out to enjoy a well deserved evening out. There are several excellent restaurants in our local town of St Jean d'Angely that are 'worth a babysitter'

Full details and prices can be found on our extra services page
