Booking your summer holiday independently

at La Grange du Moulin and Les Vallaies

January is our busiest month for taking bookings for the coming season. Christmas is over, you get back to work, it is grey, damp and cold and need something to look forward to. With the economic climate still biting as well as the frosty January wind you need a good value family holiday that won't break the bank but will give everyone a well earned rest. You won't be the only one thinking that and with thousands of views on our site in January alone you need to make a decision quickly to get the dates and holiday cottage, villa or gite that you are after. Read on and find out how you can save money with our 20% discount off Brittany ferry crossings from the UK.

Holiday France direct 20% off discount

At La Grange du Moulin and Les Vallaies we offer competitively priced family friendly self catering holiday accommodation, we arn't offering luxury but in the words of one of our guests ''it makes the cottages much more suitable for little ones''. All our gites, cottages and villas are comfortably furnished with the needs of young families in mind and fully equipped too, we also have some more exclusive properties and stand alone villas with pools for those of you with older children or groups of adults.

As we say on our site, this sort of holiday won't suit everyone and it is extremely important to Chris and I that every family that books enjoys their time with us, so ask as many questions as you need to. The right property for your family is out there, so take some time to research and you'll find it.
Most of our bookings come through families finding us on a google search but we do advertise with all the big names too, some take commission, so if you find us on one of those its worth doing a bit more searching to find us independently as we will be cheaper that way.
You may well be looking at several different properties in which case we recommend reading their web sites fully and if you have a question or there is something you are not sure about, email the owners. We are always happier if families contact us either by phone or email before they decide to book, that way we are sure they have all the information they need and that our property is right for them.

Make sure the property has lots of photos available and reviews from previous guests and see if they have a 'presence ' on the web like a facebook , google + , twitter , instagram and pinterest pages, you'll get to know the owners better and see interaction with them and 'real people' which will give you more confidence. You will find us on all of these, just click on the links. As a thank you for following us on facebook or twitter, google+ or pinterest we'll give you our discount code and link to get your 20% discount off Brittany ferry crossings. You don't even have to book your holiday accommodation with us ! You will find La Grange du Moulin and Les Vallaies reviewed on a number of independent review sites such as trip advisor , Mumsnet , Netmums , and Recommended family holidays , as well as our own extensive review pages .

Once you have all the information you need, email us to reserve your cottage and complete the online booking form. We will send you a copy of the completed form on receipt and an email to confirm the reservation with details of payment of the deposit. You should receive an email within a few hours or if you send it in the evening, the following morning at the latest. If you do not receive an email from us check your junk/spam folder and try contacting us again - we are usually very prompt in our response so it must mean your form/email or phone message has gone astray.
In order to confirm your reservation we will need a £250 (€300) deposit which can be paid by bank transfer into our UK account or if you prefer, by paypal (payments by paypal will be taken in euros) We can give you a price in euros too, if you are travelling from Ireland, this is paid by transfer to our French account and shouldn't cost anything to transfer.

You will know exactly how much the property will cost you with no worries about fluctuations in exchange rates (unless paying by paypal). The balance is payable 10 weeks prior to the start of your holiday and we remind you about this a few weeks before so you have time to organise the transfer. We are also happy to take payments in installments prior to the 10 week deadline, making it easier to budget.

When booking independently take some time and care and you'll save money and have exactly the great value holiday you and your family deserve.

Do not hesitate to ask us any questions you may have at all.
